Simultaneous Exhibition with GM Darryl Johansen
GM Johansen (14 time Begonia Open Champion!) travelled up from Melbourne to play 32 local Ballarat club members in a simultaneous exhibition held on July 3rd at the BMI. He played with the white pieces and opened with either c4 or Nf3. Only three players managed to hold him to a draw, Club Champion Declan Smith, Minsadi Wansapura and her father Kanchana Wansapura (well done to the Wansapura family!)
