The 41st Ballarat Club Championship is over. This year's winner is the number one seed Scott Stewert. Congratulations Scott and many thanks to all of those who competed in a most enjoyable tournament.
The reserves title went to the number one seed in that competition — Robert Bailey. Well done Rob.

The 41st Ballarat Club Championship is all but over. This year's winner is Scott Stewert. Congratulations Scott and many thanks to all of those who competed in a most enjoyable tournament.
In the reserves the result still hangs in the balance with James Eldridge and John Frangakis to play the final game of the tournament. James needs to defeat John in order to play off against Robert Bailey.

The club extends an invitation to all chess players to participate in the Ballarat Chess Club Championship. It is an ACF‑rated event and sure to be keenly fought in both the A and B grades. The tournament is scheduled to start on the 3rd of May — check the newly posted club programme for round dates and other upcoming events at the club.

Once again the Ballarat Chess Club opened for business on Thursday nights, starting off with the first of five events in the 2007 Ballarat Chess Club Lightning Championship.
