2013 Victorian Country Chess Championships

A new star has emerged. Doyin Fasakin who is a Pharmacist at Horsham arrived from Nigeria via WA 3 years ago. He drew with Stewart Booth and Bas Van Riel but defeated Mark Bruere, Nigel Barrow, Leigh Healey and Patrick. Nigel also managed to defeat Stewart in the final round.. more...

The 2011 event will be held at Swan Hill over the second weekend 8 & 9 October. This is the weekend after the AFL grand final. The venue is a retirement centre provided by Stewart Booth and some free accommodation will be available, details here. more...

2009 Victorian Country Chess Champions!

Mark Bruere and Stuart Booth share the top spot in this year's championship. Participant numbers were down a little, no doubt due to the GFC, petrol prices and daylight savings, but the general enthusiasm of the players has not faded at all! For results and photos see the events page. more...

2009 Victorian Country Chess Championship

The Victorian Rural Chess League is excited to announce that the 2009 VCCC will be held over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of October. The venue will remain the same, opposite Tog's Cafe in Castlemaine.
