It will as usual be a keenly contested event with prizes for both outright and Reserve (lower half of field) winners. A new star has emerged. Doyin Fasakin who is a Pharmacist at Horsham arrived from Nigeria via WA 3 years ago. He drew with Stewart Booth and Bas Van Riel but defeated Mark Bruere, Nigel Barrow, Leigh Healey and Patrick. Nigel also managed to defeat Stewart in the final round.. more...

2009 Victorian Country Chess Championship

The Victorian Rural Chess League is excited to announce that the 2009 VCCC will be held over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of October. The venue will remain the same, opposite Tog's Cafe in Castlemaine.
