Free Coaching Sessions!

Arthur Koelle visit

Arthur is back for a visit and we plan to have a special event on Wednesday evening. Intending players should try to arrive at 7.45pm ready for an 8pm start. We will provide a light supper and there will be couple of small mystery prizes as well! As Arthur would like to play as many members as possible on the night, so the time controls will probably be around 5 minutes a side.

Social Chess

First night of club chess for the year 2012; come and warm up for the Spielvogel Championship which will start on the 18th of January. Discussions will probably be held about what's to go in the 2012 Club Programme. Bring your ideas!

Condolences

Members of the chess club were saddened to hear of the passing of Andy Miitel on Tuesday 27th, and extend our condolences to Peter and family. Andy was an important figure in the club in the 1960s and was our first life member. We will post more on his life and contribution to the club, shortly.
