| Rating Groups |
There are three rating sections, determined by dividing the total number of players with a rating of less than 2000, by three. Unrated players will be initially placed in an appropriate group by the arbiter, but may be adjusted after three rounds. Final rating groups will be displayed prior to the start of round four. |

| Accommodation |
Players are requested to make their own arrangements for accommodation. Anyone intending to make a booking should do so as early as possible since the long weekend is a very busy period in Ballarat and it could be difficult to obtain a room if no advance arrangement is made.
The ballarat.com website contains comprehensive details on accommodation options and tourism information.
